Our First Grade Journey

 Our Buckets are Full! Cicada Crew Families,  We are on our way through this First Quarter of First Grade which seems to be flying by. Although this time has been quick, it has been full of reflection, excitement, community, and joy. We have been finding the beauty in the mundane… the joy in the small moments. The children presented their learning in a way that was authentic, relevant, and special to them, and I am so proud of their dedication and willingness to do so.  Reflecting, Preparing, and Celebrating Cicada Crew Families, We have had a busy but wonderful week as we have been preparing for Gathering in the midst of our learning. Please see below for more information about Gathering, glimpses into our learning, and reminders about upcoming events and field studies. Gathering We cannot wait to celebrate and share with you our learning so far in First Grade at our Gathering. Please join us for this celebration of learning, which will occur in the Gathering Room at 2:00 on Friday, September 15th (This Friday). Each child will be presenting a takeaway from our learning that they would like to share with our whole school. We are so excited, and I am so proud of their hard work and commitment to this responsibility!
