Summer Learning Engagements
Cicada Crew Family, I hope your summer has been off to a wonderful start! I have been enjoying the weather, spending time with my family, and walking my sweet dog, Birdie. As I mentioned in my previous email, I wanted to share some activities with you all as your child continues to grow as a learner over the summer. We are always reading- signs, tv shows, books, newspapers, labels- wherever we go! We are always finding ideas for writing- our family trip to the Great Wolf Lodge, our pet, our favorite TV show, a family member who we get to visit- wherever we go! And, we are surrounded by math- numbers, counting, shapes, patterns- wherever we go! As we journey through our summers and prepare for First Grade, here are a few learning engagements you can continue at home. Give your child the opportunity to work independently so that they can continue to grow in their identity as readers, writers, and mathematicians.
